DFA-OP Conducts Seminar-Workshop on Protocol, Etiquette and Social Graces for Tourism Officers
06 April 2018 MANILA – The Office of Protocol of the Department of Foreign Affairs conducted a seminar-workshop on Protocol, Etiquette and Social Graces to 26 tourism officers from Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon (CALABARZON) at Tagaytay City from March 22 to 23. The said seminar-workshop is designed to prepare the tourism officers for hosting events involving foreign dignitaries.
The two-day seminar-workshop covered topics ranging from protocol, order of precedence, and event / conference hosting preparation. Participants were also taught tips on professional dressing, effective communication, and proper etiquette when interacting with VIPs during event hosting.
During the integration session, the participants were grouped according to their provinces and were tasked to propose a familiarization tour program for foreign dignitaries visiting their respective provinces. The activity was intended for participants to apply knowledge on protocol and strategic planning when designing their programs for VIPs. Each group of participants was able to present a detailed familiarization tour program for VIPs promoting the beauty and cultural heritage of each province through “Faith, Farm, Art, Leisure and Wellness”.
