DFA CHECKING IF FILIPINOS AMONG VICTIMS OF ONTARIO IED BLAST
25 May 2018 - The Department of Foreign Affairs is coordinating with authorities in Ontario, Canada, to determine if there were Filipinos among the 15 persons hurt in an explosion at a local restaurant there on Thursday evening.
The DFA said the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto has been monitoring the aftermath of the explosion at an Indian restaurant in Mississauga, Ontario, which is home to some 40,000 Filipinos.
Consul General Rosalinda Prospero said three persons were critically injured in the blast caused by an improvised explosive device that was set off by two unidentified men. END
