DFA REMINDS FILIPINOS IN BAGHDAD TO BE CAUTIOUS FOLLOWING BLASTS
 
26 May 2018 - The Department of Foreign Affairs today reminded Filipinos in Iraq to remain vigilant following a series of bombings in Baghdad that has left several persons dead and several more injured.
 
In a statement, the DFA said the Philippine Embassy in Baghdad continues to monitor the situation in the Iraqi capital and is in touch with members of the Filipino Community there.
 
In his report to Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter S. Cayetano, Chargé d’Affaires Julius Torres said the Embassy has reminded the estimated 400 members of the Filipino Community in Baghdad to exercise caution and to restrict their movement after a series of bombings in the past week left at least seven persons dead and several others injured.
