President Duterte to Confer Awards to Outstanding Filipino Diplomats During DFA 120th Foundation Anniversary

17 June 2018 MANILA – President Rodrigo Duterte will confer three of the country’s highest honors to six Filipino diplomats as he leads the celebration of the 120th Foundation Anniversary of the Department of Foreign Affairs on Monday.

The President will confer the Order of Sikatuna, the Order of Lakandula, and the Gawad Mabini to six officials who have rendered dedicated and exceptional service to the Department and to the Filipino people.

Several other diplomats will also be recognized for their achievements during the foundation anniversary event with Secretary Cayetano presenting the Felipe Agoncillo Lifetime Service Award to four retiring ambassadors and other DFA officials.

Other prominent recognitions to be given by the Secretary are the individual and group Assistance to Nationals (ATN) Awards, the Best Organization Award, Outstanding Employee Awards, and loyalty awards

A photo exhibit will be launched on the same day, highlighting the achievements of the administration in pursuing an independent foreign policy. END
