SAN PABLO CITY 08 November 2018 – With the aim to better serve the public, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) opened its Consular Office (CO) at SM City San Pablo in Laguna on 29 October 2018.

The new site is one of the five offices in partnership with SM Supermalls, and is the 30th CO to be opened nationwide.

The inauguration was led by Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs Neil Frank R. Ferrer, who said that the opening of DFA CO San Pablo is in line with the Department’s thrust to bring its services closer to the public.

Assistant Secretary Ferrer also stated that the new CO would help serve the people in Southern Luzon, and help decongest DFA’s existing offices in Metro Manila.

CO San Pablo is already accepting passport applicants through its online appointment system starting 30 October 2018. END
