AFP Conducts First Information Collection Training on Select DFA Personnel

MANILA 16 November 2018 – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) trained 21 employees of the Department of Foreign Affairs on effective information collection and management in a three-day seminar held at the Bulwagang Elpidio Quirino from 12 to 14 November 2018.
The customized training equipped the participants with knowledge and skills to become effective information collectors and report writers for intelligence gathering and investigation purposes.
Through lecture-discussion and cooperative learning exercises, the participants were provided with competencies on planning and directing the information collection effort, collecting information, processing the collected information, and dissemination and use of resulting intelligence.
The seminar was participated in by 11 female and 10 male employees from the Administrative Compliance Section of the Human Resources Management Office, Intelligence Services Unit, Office of Treaties and Legal Affairs, Board of Foreign Service Administration Secretariat, and Office of the Secretary.
