CA Confirms Appointment of 5 Ambassadors

06 February 2019 – The Commission of Appointments (CA) has confirmed the nomination of five Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary (AEP) in its session held today.

Confirmed as AEPs were the following:

  • Noel Eugene Eusebio Mejica Servigon as Permanent Representative of the Republic of the Philippines to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Jakarta, Indonesia. Currently, he is the country’s envoy to Vietnam.
  • Ma. Teresita Cruz Daza as AEP to the Republic of Chile, with concurrent jurisdiction over the Republic of Ecuador and Republic of Peru. She is currently the country’s AEP to India.
  • Christopher Baltazar Montero as AEP to Brunei Darussalam. Currently, he is the country’s envoy to Cambodia.
  • Ramon Sevilla Bagatsing Jr. as AEP to the Republic of India, with concurrent jurisdiction over the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. He is a former Manila congressman.
  • Noe Albano Wong as AEP to the Republic of Korea. He was previously the country’s AEP to Cambodia.
