DFA CO Iloilo Celebrates 2019 National Women’s Month

ILOILO 13 March 2019 – The Department of Foreign Affairs Consular Office (DFA CO) in Iloilo joins the National Women’s Month celebrations by designating a “Para Kay Juana” window for female applicants, and the distribution of flyers on the Magna Carta of Women on 08 March 2019 in order to create awareness on the rights of Filipino women in the society.

All DFA CO-Iloilo personnel sported purple shirts to show their support and join the call for the promotion of women’s rights and gender equality, and to end the discrimination and violence against women.

A tarpaulin showing the theme of this year’s National Women’s Month celebration “We Make Change Work for Women,” was also displayed inside the DFA CO-Iloilo premises to raise public awareness. END
