PH-Pakistan Business Delegation Explore Avenues of Cooperation

MANILA 15 March 2019 — The Pakistan-Philippines Business Delegation, led by Pakistani Ambassador to the Philippines Dr. Aman Rashid, called on Department of Foreign Affairs-Office of the Undersecretary for International Economic Relations (DFA-OUIER) Officer-in-Charge Lourdes O. Yparraguirre on 26 February 2019.
The delegation was composed of officials from the Pakistani Embassy in Manila and members of the Pakistan-Philippines Business Forum (PPBF), a platform established in 2017 to improve bilateral trade, economic cooperation, cultural exchange and friendship between the two countries.
During the call, avenues of cooperation to further promote trade, investment, and closer people-to-people relations between the Philippines and Pakistan were discussed. Both sides highlighted recent activities and efforts to maximize the economic opportunities formed through the growing partnership between the two countries.
The call is part of the Pakistani delegation’s visit to the Philippines during the last week of February 2019. The delegation also met with officials from the Department of Trade and Industry, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and other local partners and stakeholders. END
