CO La Union Joins San Fernando City’s Parade of Lights

LA UNION 22 March 2019 — Officers and staff of the Department of Foreign Affairs’ Consular Office (CO) in La Union joined various government agencies in Ilocos Region, private entities, and local folks which took part the Grand People’s Parade of Lights in celebration of the 21st foundation anniversary of San Fernando City on 15 March 2019, with the theme: “San Fernando, Atin ‘To!”

CO La Union personnel showcased street dancing in their maroon t-shirts emblemed with “Pilipinas Pasaporte,” with the mascots of Kapitan DFA and Kapitana DFA and light props made of used plastic bottles, used boxes and other used materials.

Various government agencies in Region I, private entities, and local folks in La Union also participated in the Parade of Lights with their colorful costumes and lights props.

The Grand People’s Parade lasted for about three hours, which commenced from the Monumento along Pennsylvania Avenue to the City Plaza. END
