PH, Timor-Leste Initial Air Services Agreement
PHOTO: The Philippines boosted its air connectivity with Timor-Leste after the successful negotiation and initialing of a maiden air services agreement (ASA) between the two countries on 21-22 May 2019 in Pasay City.
The ASA would allow a Philippine carrier to mount flights to and from Timor-Leste in the future.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), represented by Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Undersecretary for Administration J. Eduardo Malaya and Office of Treaties and Legal Affairs (OTLA) Executive Director Igor G. Bailen, headed the Philippine Delegation, composed of officials from the DFA, the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Department of Tourism (DOT).
