DFA Hosts Eidul Fitr Diplomatic Reception

Abella hosted a diplomatic reception on 17 June 2019 in celebration of this year’s Eidul Fitr at the Bulwagang Apolinario Mabini in the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) building.

Undersecretary Abella greeted the Muslim members of the diplomatic corps a peaceful and joyful Eid as he formally opened the celebration. He expressed hope that understanding, cooperation and prosperity will reign during the festive occasion and that lasting peace will be finally achieved, particularly in the Southern Philippines. KALOOB Philippine Music and Dance Ministry provided a well-choreographed performance through its authentic representation of Filipino indigenous culture. The celebration was organized by the DFA in cooperation with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. It has been the tradition of the Department to host a reception to celebrate the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan with Muslim brethren and people of all faiths. (DFA photo)
