Secretary Locsin Receives Italian Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation

Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. receives Italian Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Manlio Di Stefano at the Department of Foreign Affairs

PASAY 09 July 2019 – Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. received Italian Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Manlio Di Stefano on 02 July 2019 at the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Secretary Locsin welcomed Undersecretary Di Stefano and thanked the Italian Government for its pledge of support for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Marawi City.

Both sides noted the huge potential for cooperation between the Philippines and Italy and had fruitful discussions on areas of common interest such as agriculture, business, trade and investment, defense, and tourism.

The Italian Undersecretary is scheduled to meet with officials from other government agencies such as the Department of Agriculture, Department of Finance, Department of National Defense and Department of Trade and Industry.

During the call, Undersecretary Di Stefano was accompanied by Italian Ambassador to the Philippines Giorgio Guglielmino, and Italian Embassy Second Secretary Eugeniu Rotaru. END
