Secretary Locsin Receives Outgoing Pakistani Ambassador

Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. received Pakistani Ambassador to the Philippines Dr. Aman Rashid in a farewell call at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on 11 September 2019.

Secretary Locsin expressed his appreciation to Ambassador Rashid for his contributions to Philippine-Pakistan bilateral relations which included Islamabad hosting the inaugural Joint Economic Commission (JEC) Session and the 5th Philippine-Pakistan Policy Consultation Talks in 2018. The Philippines and Pakistan recently commemorated the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations on 08 September 2019.

The Secretary was joined by Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary for Asian and Pacific Affairs Meynardo LB. Montealegre, DFA-Office of Asian and Pacific Affairs (ASPAC) Director for South and Central Asia Rona Beth G. Goce, DFA Office of the Secretary Special Assistant Shiena R.
