DFA Consular Office in General Santos Conducts Information Campaign on Consular, ATN Services

GENERAL SANTOS 17 October 2019 — The Consular Office (CO) in General Santos City successfully conducted an information session on the DFA’s Consular and Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) Services on 04 September 2019 at the Barangay Hall of Dadiangas West.

Acting Officer-in-Charge Helen Grace A. Tabora, Administrative Officer Liezel Anne A. Decrepito, and ATN Officer Grecille Ann F. Griengo discussed and highlighted passport issuance (requirements and online appointment), civil registry of vital events abroad, authentication, and

ATN issues, such as illegal fishing, repatriation, and the CO’s role in disseminating information to deter illegal recruitment and human trafficking.

In line with the CO’s task to provide responsive and efficient consular services, the same activity will be held in other urban barangays of General Santos City to familiarize the general public with the functions and the services of the Department, as well as to discuss issues that are of particular significance to the CO’s areas of jurisdiction.
