26 October 2019 - The Department of Foreign Affairs continues to bring home distressed nationals from overseas with the arrival of 141 Filipinos from the United Arab Emirates last 24 October 2019. This is the 4th repatriation in as many weeks from the UAE.
The arrivals make a total of 494 following three weekends of mass repatriations from Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
"We strengthened our combined efforts in bringing home Filipinos from the Emirates. Our Embassy in Abu Dhabi and our Consulate General in Dubai are working round the clock with our home units to guarantee that our distressed OFWs are appropriately attended to," explained Undersecretary Sarah Lou Arriola.
"The repatriation activities are testaments to the DFA's enduring commitment to perform its mandate. It also speaks of our brand of public service," concluded the Undersecretary. END
