DFA Consular Office-La Union Celebrates 34th Founding Anniversary

LA UNION 07 November 2019 — With much appreciation and gratitude, the DFA Consular Office (CO)-La Union celebrated its 34th Founding Anniversary on 28 October 2019 in Manna Mall, San Fernando City.

DFA CO La Union was established in 1985 under the initiative and leadership of the late former Governor of the Province of La Union Joaquin “Titing” Ortega. CO La Union then became the 4th Regional Consular Office after Cebu, Zamboanga, and Davao. CO La Union extends passport services, Assistance-to-Nationals services to our migrants, particularly to our overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), and other consular services.

During the celebration, CO La Union Officer-In-Charge Estellita V. Casuga extended her appreciation and gratitude for the constant support and guidance of the Office of the Undersecretary for Civil Security and Consular Concerns, Office of the Consular Affairs, Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs and other offices of the DFA, and the various government agencies in Region I, as well as the achievements and contributions of CO La Union’s officers and staff who continuously serve with professionalism, dedication and excellence for the local constituents of La Union and  nearby provinces and cities.

DFA CO La Union also celebrated its 3rd Anniversary at Manna Mall, where it takes pride in its new and spacious office with better facilities since CO La Union moved to and started its operations in Manna Mall in September 2016. END
