DFA Conducts Seminar-Workshop on Administrative Justice

PASAY CITY 08 November 2019 - The Office of the Undersecretary for Administration (UA) and the Board of Foreign Service Administration (BFSA) Secretariat spearheaded the conduct of a Seminar-Workshop on Administrative Justice (SWAJ) on 6 November 2019 at the Elpidio Quirino Hall, Department of Foreign Affairs, Pasay City.
In his welcome remarks, Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Administration J. Eduardo Malaya emphasized the value of honing the legal skills of personnel who are involved in the investigation and prosecution of administrative cases, and equipping administrative officers and other personnel with basic information on administrative justice principles and processes.
About sixty-five (65) personnel from various consular, administrative, and policy offices of the DFA participated in the seminar-workshop, which was facilitated by Civil Service Commission Office of Legal Affairs Attorney VI Vlademir E. Villacorta.
Discussed during the seminar-workshop were the 2017 Rules on Administrative Cases in the Civil Services (2017 RACCS), administrative rules on sexual harassment cases, and the latest administrative jurisprudence, investigation procedures, and evidence appreciation. END
