MANILA 10 December 2019 – Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Policy Enrique A. Manalo received Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Non-European Countries, Economic and Development Cooperation of the Czech Republic Martin Tlapa at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on 06 December 2019. This is the third visit of Deputy Minister Tlapa to the DFA since 2016.
They discussed various areas of bilateral cooperation between the Philippines and the Czech Republic including defense, trade, transportation, labor, and tourism. They also discussed regional developments and other issues of common interest.
Both officials hoped to further expand economic relations between the two countries and looked forward to the exchange of high-level visits and visits of trade delegations next year.
Deputy Minister Tlapa extended an invitation for Undersecretary Manalo to visit Prague in 2020 to co-chair the Inaugural Philippines-Czech Republic Political Consultations. END
