DFA Consular Office in Zamboanga Holds Blood Donation Drive

ZAMBOANGA 11 December 2019 — The DFA Consular Office Zamboanga conducted an on-site bloodletting activity in support of the Department of Health’s Nationwide Defeat Dengue Blood Drive in Support for Dengue Patients.

The blood donation drive was held inside the consular office on 23 November 2019 in coordination with the Philippine Red Cross.

The activity intends to provide sufficient and timely access to blood and blood products in the wake of the increasing number of dengue cases all over the country.

A total of 2.7 liters were donated by the participants and turned over to the Philippine Red Cross for screening and testing to ensure safe blood supply to patients.

The Red Cross representatives expressed their gratitude to the Department for organizing the bloodletting activity. END
