Secretary Locsin Meets Family of Killed OFW in Kuwait

08 January 2020 –– Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. met with the family of the killed overseas Filipino worker (OFW) in Kuwait, Ms. Jeanelyn Padernal Villavende, hours before the arrival of her remains in Manila.

Secretary Locsin vowed that DFA will continue to provide legal and other appropriate assistance to the family until justice is served and perpetrators are punished. DFA, through the Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers' Affairs and the PH Embassy in Kuwait, has commissioned a top-notch criminal lawyer in Kuwait and provided the family with Php100,000 financial assistance.
