repat 1

08 January 2020 – The remains of the late OFW Jeanelyn Padernal Villavende, the Filipina household service worker purportedly killed by the employer’s wife in Kuwait last month, arrived this afternoon in Manila.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has commissioned a top-notch criminal lawyer in Kuwait to pursue the case against the perpetrators and ensure that justice is served. An eye for an eye, a life for a life.

The employer and his wife, the alleged perpetrators of this dastardly act against Ms. Villavende, remain in jail in Kuwait.

The DFA has also provided the bereaved family with financial assistance of PhP 100,000.00 to help defray the costs of the funeral expenses.

The DFA will continue to provide legal and other appropriate assistance on this until justice is served and perpetrators are punished. END
