New Zealand Ambassador Pays Farewell Call On Secretary Locsin
Outgoing New Zealand Ambassador to the Philippines David Strachan paid a farewell call on Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin, Jr., at the Department of Foreign Affairs on 8 January 2020.
Ambassador Strachan will be concluding his tour of duty on 28 January 2020, after four years in the Philippines, making him the longest-serving New Zealand Ambassador to the country.
Secretary Locsin commended Ambassador Strachan for his many notable contributions to the strengthening of bilateral relations between the Republic of the Philippines and the New Zealand since 2015. The Secretary cited in particular the increased engagement between the countries in terms of economic relations, defense and security cooperation, as well as the extension of development assistance, during Ambassador Strachan’s tenure
Ambassador Strachan will be succeeded by Ambassador-designate Peter Kell. END
