PASAY CITY 14 January 2020 –– Representatives from the Department of Foreign Affairs' Office of Asian and Pacific Affairs (ASPAC), headed by Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary for Asian and Pacific Affairs Meynardo LB. Montealegre, visited the San Lorenzo Ruiz Home for the Elderly for the ASPAC Charity Day on 14 January 2020.

“It’s our small way of loving our neighbors,” shared Assistant Secretary Montealegre, on the event that included a handover of cash donation and adult diapers.

The San Lorenzo Ruiz Home for the Elderly is located along Lancaster Street, right across the Pasay City Hall. The home is committed to care for the less fortunate among the Filipino people, sheltering 37 elderly—29 lolas and 18 lolos—who are poor and abandoned.

Last Christmas, ASPAC personnel voluntarily contributed to the donation and are collectively committed to reach out beyond its office borders to extend care and concern to those in need. END
