Secretary Locsin Receives Ambassador-Designate of Canada to the Philippines

MANILA 06 March 2020 — Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. received Ambassador-Designate of Canada to the Philippines Peter James MacArthur today in the Department of Foreign Affairs. Secretary Locsin and Ambassador-Designate MacArthur discussed ways to further strengthen Philippines-Canada relations.

Ambassador-Designate MacArthur served as Ambassador to Indonesia and Timor-Leste from 2016 to 2019.

Canada is among the Philippines’ top grant providers and a major trading partner. Close to a million Filipinos currently work and live in Canada. END
