DFA Consular Office in Butuan Participates in COVID-19 Coordination Meeting

BUTUAN 17 March 2020 — The Department of Foreign Affairs Consular Office in Butuan participated in the Coordination Meeting on Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-2019) conducted by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease in Caraga held at Prince Hotel, VCDU, Butuan City on 13 March 2020.

Department of Health Caraga Regional Director Jose R. Llacuna, Jr. led the meeting attended by regional directors of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), provincial governors, city mayors, provincial and city health officers and chief of hospitals and their representatives.

The meeting included updates on the recent development of COVID-19, the declaration of the Code Red Sub-level 2, and updates on the number of confirmed cases, Persons Under Investigation (PUIs) and Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) nationwide. As of 12 March 2020, 6:00 P.M.,  there were four PUIs and 58 PUMs in Caraga region.

During the open forum, Dr. Llacuna immediately responded to the various concerns of the attendees. END
