247 Seafarers Back Home from Frankfurt

PASAY CITY 08 April 2020 - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) welcomed today 247 crew members of MS Amadea and MS Amera who returned from Frankfurt, Germany.

The repatriates arrived this morning via a chartered flight contracted by BSM Crew Service Centre Philippines Inc. and Five Star Marine Services Corp., local manning agencies of the crew members. The MS Amadea crew members are the third batch of repatriates from the same vessel, following the 57 who arrived on 05 and 07 April 2020.

After the Bureau of Quarantine performed the mandatory inspection and briefing, the repatriates boarded the buses provided by the local manning agencies for onward transportation to their respective quarantine facilities where they will undergo the mandatory 14-day quarantine.

The Medical Division of the Manila International Airport Authority was also present to provide assistance to the repatriates.
