Philippines Receives COVID-19 Test Kits from Brunei

09 April 2020 – The Philippines received a donation of 20 units of COVID-19 test kits from the Government of Brunei Darussalam through its Ministry of Health.

The test kits, which yield a total of 1,000 tests, were received in a ceremonial turnover on 08 April 2020 by Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque III, accompanied by Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary for Asia and Pacific Affairs Meynardo LB. Montealegre, from Bruneian Ambassador to the Philippines Johariah Wahab, accompanied by Third Secretary Normasdianah Hassim.

The actual test kits were delivered immediately to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) a few days ago upon their arrival to the Philippines. END
