DFA Welcomes Home 275 Crewmen of MV Oceana, Aurora from London Amid the COVID-19 Crisis

PASAY CITY 10 April 2020 - While the entire nation is in quiet contemplation in observance of Good Friday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) continues to serve and welcomes home 275 OFWs from London, composed of 128 Filipino crew of MV Oceana and 147 Filipino crew of MV Aurora, this noon.

Magsaysay Maritime Corporation, the local manning agency of the aforementioned vessels, in coordination with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Philippine Embassy in London, made the arrangements for said repatriation.

Representatives of OWWA, Department of Health, Bureau of Quarantine and Manila International Airport Authority, joined in welcoming the repatriates.

All 275 Filipinos underwent the appropriate medical protocols as required by the DOH and BOQ and will undergo home quarantine as approved by DOH-BOQ. END (Photo by DFA-OUMWA)
