Philippines Receives Medical Supplies from China

PASAY CITY 21 March 2020 - Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. met with Chinese Ambassador Huang Xi Lian, who turned over the donation of the Chinese Government to the Philippines today.

The donation of medical supplies included 100,000 testing kits, 10,000 N95 masks, 10,000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and 100,000 surgical masks, were received by Secretary Locsin from Ambassador Huang. They were joined by Undersecretary Robert Eric Borje, Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Civilian Security and Consular Concerns Brigido J. Dulay, and Health Undersecretary Mario C. Villaverde.

The donation was turned over to the Department of Health (DOH), the agency which is in charge of the proper allocation of the medical supplies to be donated to the hospitals. END
