DFA Ends Good Friday with Repatriation of 16 Crew Members of MS World Explorer
PASAY CITY 10 April 2020 - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) concluded its 11th consecutive day of repatriation welcoming 16 seafarers from Lisbon, Portugal.
The 16 seafarers, who arrived at NAIA past nine p.m., are crew members of Mystic Cruises' MS World Explorer.
North Sea Marine Services Corporation, the local manning agency of the said vessel made the arrangements for said repatriation in coordination with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Philippine Embassy in Lisbon.
Representatives of OWWA, Department of Health, Bureau of Quarantine and Manila International Airport Authority, joined in welcoming the repatriates.
All 16 Filipinos underwent the appropriate medical protocols as required by the DOH and BOQ and will undergo the necessary quarantine as approved by DOH-BOQ. END
