Philippines Receives Medical Supplies from Australia
PASAY CITY 26 March 2020 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) received information today on the donation to the Philippines from the Australian Government.
The donation, which amounts to a total of AUD 3,134,118 (approximately PhP 100.76 million), consists of medical supplies that can aid in the country's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The assistance was coursed through the Philippine Red Cross and the United Nations Population Fund. The Philippine Red Cross received AUD 3,000,000 (approximately PhP 96.45 million) while the United Nations Population Fund received AUD 134,118 (approximately PhP 4.31 million) worth of supplies, respectively.
