DFA Starts Friday with the Repatriation of 200 Crew Members of MV Amera, MV Albatros, MV River, MV Amadea

PASAY CITY 17 April 2020 - At 9:19am, the plane carrying 200 seafarers from Frankfurt, Germany, composed of 66 crew of MV Amera, 130 of Albatros, 3 of River and one crew member of MV Amadea, touched down at NAIA.

The Five Star Marine Service Corp and BSM Crew Service Centre Philippines Inc., the local manning agencies of the vessels, in coordination with the Philippine Embassy in Berlin, arranged the said repatriation.

The crew were met by officials of the Department of Foreign Affairs. Representatives of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Department of Health, Bureau of Quarantine, Department of Transportation, Philippine Coast Guard and Manila International Airport Authority, likewise joined in welcoming the repatriates.

All 200 Filipinos underwent the appropriate airport medical protocols and will undergo the mandatory quarantine as required by DOH-BOQ. END
