DFA Consular Office in General Santos City Assists in Repatriation of Stranded Foreign Nationals

GENERAL SANTOS CITY 11 May 2020 – The DFA Consular Office in General Santos City, in coordination with the Department of Tourism (DOT) in Region XII and the Local City Tourism Office of General Santos, assisted in the repatriation of 22 Foreign Nationals stranded in the said region via Philippine Airlines sweeper flight at the General Santos International Airport on 07 May 2020.

The said repatriation effort is the seventh batch of repatriation facilitated by the Local Government Unit of General Santos City for stranded foreigners since the cancellation of domestic and international flights following the declaration of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

The repatriation flight carried Thai, American, Singaporean, Egyptian, Bermudian, Korean, and Filipino Nationals. END
