DFA Starts the Week Right by Welcoming 306 Filipino Seafarers from Norway

PASAY CITY 08 June 2020 — At 4:00 PM, a plane carrying 306 Filipino crew were met by officials of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), together with Magsaysay Maritime Corporation, Wilhelmsen-Smith Bell Manning, Inc. and Multinational Maritime Inc., the crew's local manning agencies.

Viking Cruises, in coordination with the Philippine Embassy in Oslo, arranged the said repatriation.

Representatives of the Department of Health, Bureau of Quarantine, Department of Transportation, Philippine Coast Guard and Manila International Airport Authority joined in welcoming the repatriates.

All 306 Filipinos underwent the appropriate airport medical protocols and will undergo the mandatory 14-day quarantine as required by DOH-BOQ. END
