LA UNION 03 September 2020 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Consular Office (CO) in La Union participated in the Ilocos Regional Resilience Webinar Forum entitled, “We R1: Gearing towards resiliency in the New Normal” held through online videoconference via Zoom on 28 August 2020.
The event was spearheaded by the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (RDRRMC)-1. Participants were welcomed by the Office of the Civil Defense Region 1 and Chairperson of the Regional Task Force (RTF)-1 Director Eugene G. Cabrera.
The webinar provided clear and relevant direction towards building capacity and resiliency in the new normal though the topics discussed such as utilization of Local Government Unit (LGU) funds in the new normal, strengthening the Local Task Forces to fight COVID-19, and fighting COVID-19 as a way of life, among others.
