PH Embassy in Riyadh Repatriates 12th Batch of Filipinos in Riyadh and Eastern regions of the KSA

PASAY CITY 15 October 2020 — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), through the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, brought home the 12th batch of distressed Overseas Filipinos (OFs) from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
A DFA team was at the airport to welcome home 341 distressed OFs who arrived on board PR8673 that landed at NAIA before midday today.
This is the 12th DFA-chartered repatriation flight from Riyadh since February 2020, when the DFA began its mass repatriation efforts.
The DFA has repatriated more than 4,200 Filipinos from Riyadh and the eastern regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The repatriates underwent COVID-19 RT-PCR test and will be staying under hotel quarantine until their test results come out negative. END
