UK Ambassador Pruce Bids Farewell After Four Years, conveys UK’s Donation of 415,000 Astrazeneca Vaccines to the Philippines

PASAY CITY 30 July 2021 – After serving for four years, United Kingdom’s Ambassador to the Philippines Daniel Pruce paid a farewell call on Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. on 29 July 2021 at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). European Affairs Assistant Secretary Jaime Victor J. Ledda was also present during the call.
Secretary Locsin thanked Ambassador Pruce for his dedicated service in strengthening Philippines–United Kingdom bilateral relations. Their discussions also followed through on matters discussed during the recent phone call between Secretary Locsin and Secretary Dominic Raab, such as the enhanced bilateral partnership, police cooperation and the UK’s bid to become an ASEAN Dialogue Partner.
To support the Philippines’ vaccine roll-out program, Ambassador Pruce informed the Secretary that the UK’s donation of 415,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines is tentatively scheduled to arrive in the country on Monday afternoon, 2 August 2021.
Ambassador Pruce’s tour of duty in the Philippines ends next month. END
