DFA Undersecretary for Civilian Security and Consular Affairs, Turkish Ambassador Discuss Socio-economic and Development Projects between PH, Turkey

PASAY CITY, 03 August 2021 — Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Civilian Security and Consular Affairs (UCSCA) Brigido J. Dulay received Turkish Ambassador to the Philippines Artemiz Sümer on her courtesy visit to discuss various issues concerning the bilateral relations between the Philippines and Turkey on 02 August 2021.

Undersecretary Dulay conveyed his appreciation for Turkey’s continued support to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) through various socio-economic and development projects. 

The two sides committed to collaborating closely to ensure the finalization of the pending bilateral agreements and the effective implementation of development projects in coordination with other Philippine government agencies.

Ambassador Sümer expressed the hope that the international community, including the Philippines, can successfully address the rising cases of COVID-19.  

Ambassador Sumer was joined by the Embassy’s Third Secretary Ceren Nur Boz. END
