Bangladesh Ambassador Siam Bids Farewell Call on Secretary Locsin

PASAY CITY 02 September 2021 – The outgoing Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Philippines Asad Alam Siam made his farewell call on Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. on 01 September 2021 at the Department of Foreign Affairs.
The Secretary congratulated the Ambassador for a fruitful tour of duty and conveyed appreciation for the latter’s efforts in enhancing bilateral relations. During the Ambassador's tenure, the Philippines witnessed the opening of the Bangladesh Consulate General in Cebu in May 2021 and the Consulate General in Davao in September 2018.
Ambassador Siam will end his four-year tour of duty in the Philippines in September 2021. The Philippines and Bangladesh are slated to celebrate the 50th anniversary of bilateral relations on 24 February 2022. END
