Thai Ambassador Vasin Pays Farewell Call on Secretary Locsin

PASAY CITY, 17 September 2021 – Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. received Thai Ambassador Vasin Ruangprateepsaeng at the Department of Foreign Affairs on 16 September 2021 for the Ambassador’s farewell call as he concludes his two-year tour of duty this month.
The Secretary congratulated Ambassador Vasin on a fruitful tour of duty, expressed appreciation for Thailand’s assistance to the Philippines during the pandemic, and affirmed support for further strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
Ambassador Vasin, likewise, expressed his appreciation for the support given by the Department during his mission in the Philippines, which included the celebration of the 70 years of bilateral relations between Philippines and Thailand in 2019, the visit of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand to the Philippines, and a bilateral summit between President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha on the sidelines of the 34th ASEAN Summit in Thailand. END
