PH Businesses Invited to Explore Opportunities in Pacific Alliance Countries

Resident Ambassadors in Manila of the Pacific Alliance member countries made a joint call on DFA Undersecretary for Multilateral Affairs and International Economic Relations Lourdes O. Yparraguirre on 07 October to explore ways on strengthening trade and investment between the Philippines and the Pacific Alliance. The Pacific Alliance was represented by (from R-L) Chilean Ambassador Claudio Rojas Rachel, Mexican Ambassador Gerardo Lozano Arredondo, and Colombian Ambassador Marcela Ordonez. The Pacific Alliance is a regional bloc composed of Chile, Mexico, Peru and Colombia (currently holding the Pro Tempore Presidency) that aims to deepen economic integration towards free movement of goods, services, capital and people. The Philippines was admitted as an Observer State in the Pacific Alliance in 2019. Accompanying Undersecretary Yparraguirre during the meeting were (from L-R) OAA Director Gonaranao B.
