DFA repatriates 2 distressed Filipinos from Turkey, Czech Republic

PASAY CITY, 10 December 2021 — The Department of Foreign Affairs  — Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs welcomed the arrival of two distressed Filipinos in Manila on 09 December 2021.

One of the distressed Filipinos availed of a medical repatriation because of her condition. She was accompanied by an Assistance to Nationals (ATN) officer from the Philippine Embassy in Ankara.

Another repatriate who arrived via the same flight was stranded in Istanbul for days when the airline refused to fly him to Manila last 30 November 2021 since he came from the Czech Republic. He is recovering from a car accident. END
