DFA’s ISO 9001:2015 certification recommended for extension
PASAY CITY, 11 December 2021 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) maintains its ISO 9001:2015 certification following its successful expansion and second surveillance audit on 09 and 10 December 2021.
For this year’s audit, three additional Consular Offices - CO NCR Central in Robinsons Galleria, CO NCR North in Robinsons Novaliches, and CO NCR South in Alabang Town Center - were included in the certification scope following their two-year quality management system implementation along with 15 other offices and units.
The auditors from TUV Nord Philippines, Inc. examined and inspected the processes of DFA and found no nonformities, and instead, cited eight Good Practices such as the active participation and support given of the Management in the implementation of the QMS, implementation of “Our DFA” to increase personnel knowledge and awareness, sanitation of documents in COs, creation and utilization of IQA Portal 2.0, and the launch of first eBook relative to Space Law, among others.
With this surveillance and expansion audit, all COs in Metro Manila are certified under ISO 9001:2015 standards and the public can expect more streamlined and quality consular and ATN services.
The DFA has maintained its ISO 9001 certification since 2016 as part of its commitment to serve the Filipino people with quality and excellent service. END
