Indian Foreign Minister Set to Visit PH

PASAY CITY, 10 February 2022 – Secretary of Foreign Affairs Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. will be meeting next week with his Indian counterpart, Minister of External Affairs, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, who will be in the Philippines for a working visit on 13-15 February 2022. This will be Minister Jaishankar’s first visit to Manila.

For their meeting, Secretary Locsin and Minister Jaishankar are expected to discuss the current and future directions of Philippine-India relations, including health and security cooperation, as well as other regional and global matters of mutual interest.

Minister Jaishankar’s visit is considered an affirmation of the commitment between the Philippines and India to further their relations in a post-COVID world. END
