Secretary Locsin Bids Farewell to Outgoing Greek Ambassador Antonis Alexandridis

PASAY CITY, 04 May 2022 – Secretary of Foreign Affairs Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. today bid farewell to outgoing Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic, H.E. Antonis Alexandridis. 

Ambassador Alexandridis, who assumed his position as Greek Ambassador to the Philippines on 4 December 2019, will conclude his tour of duty on 8 May 2022.

The Secretary thanked the Greek Ambassador for his commitment in advancing the bilateral relations between the Philippines and Greece, and expressed the hope that the Greek Embassy’s initiatives will continue with Ambassador Alexandridis’ successor. 

Both sides also discussed cooperation in the maritime field, defense, candidatures in the United Nations, and people-to-people engagements.

The Secretary was joined by the DFA Assistant Secretary for European Affairs Jaime Victor B. Ledda during the Ambassador’s farewell call. END
