DFA Conducts Internal Quality Audit (IQA) Trainings and Workshops

PASAY CITY 27 June 2022 — The Quality Management System Unit (QMSU) of the Office of the Undersecretary for Administration in partnership with the DFA Internal Audit Service recently concluded the 3-day Internal Quality Audit Training for QMS Core Team Member from 18 - 20 May 2022 and 6 - 8 June 2022. Ninety six (96) personnel from the home office and consular offices attended the training.

The training was conducted in part to fulfill the requirement of the ISO 9001:2015 standard to equip personnel with the competencies to assess the compliance and performance of the DFA-QMS as internal quality auditors.

Training topics included a review of the ISO 9011:2015 standard, the DFA’s regulations on the conduct of internal quality audits, and the use of the Internal Quality Audit Form.

The Internal Quality Audit Training is one of the activities that the DFA undertakes as part of its continuing efforts to improve its quality management system. By ensuring that there is a pool of trained internal quality auditors, the Department is in a strong position to conduct an internal quality audit this year in preparation for its ISO 9001:2015 recertification audit.
