Chinese Ambassador Pays Courtesy Call on the Secretary of Foreign Affairs

PASAY CITY 24 June 2022 - Secretary of Foreign Affairs Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. received Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian in a courtesy call at the Department of Foreign Affairs on 20 June 2022.

Joining the Secretary were Acting Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations and ASEAN Affairs Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro, Assistant Secretary for Asian and Pacific Affairs Neal Imperial, Assistant Secretary for Maritime and Ocean Affairs Maria Angela A. Ponce, and National Mapping and Resource Information Authority Deputy Administrator Efren P. Carandang who just recently secured a seat at the United Nations Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf.

Secretary Locsin thanked Ambassador Huang for his cooperation and support during his tenure as foreign minister. Ambassador Huang, for his part, assured the Secretary of his support for his successor, as well as the new Administration. END
