DFA Consular Office in San Fernando Pampanga Opens a Special Lane for the Day of the Seafarers

PAMPANGA 03 July 2022 — The DFA Consular Office in San Fernando Pampanga opened a special lane for seafarers on 24 June 2022 in celebration of the Day of the Seafarers 2022, with this year’s theme: “Your voyage - then and now, share your journey”.

The special lane was made available to provide fast track passport service to all seafarer applicants from passport verification, processing and encoding. 

As part of its awareness program, CO personnel also briefly discussed the significant contribution of the seafarers, the role of women seafarers and this year’s celebration, to waiting applicants as it highlights the message of Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin Jr. in the office’s monitors.   

Recognizing the service, courage and determination of our Filipino seafarers, DFA San Fernando Pampanga also opened its walk-in passport and authentication services for the seafarers on the said date to allow them to process their passports or apostille documents without the need for an online appointment.

The office also offered snacks for the seafarers after they completed their processes.  A total of 14 seafarers for passport services and 2 for authentication services were accommodated. END
