Chinese State Councilor, Foreign Minister Wang Yi to Undertake Official Visit to the PH from 05 to 06 July 2022

PASAY CITY, 04 July 2022 – Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi is scheduled to visit the Philippines from 05 to 06 July 2022, upon the invitation of Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique A. Manalo. SCFM Wang will be the first foreign counterpart to be received by Secretary Manalo after assuming office on 01 July 2022.

SCFM Wang and Secretary Manalo are set to have a bilateral meeting where they will discuss a wide range of issues, focusing on maintaining and building on the positive trend of relations between the Philippines and China.

SCFM Wang was last in Manila on 15-16 January 2021 for an official visit upon the invitation of former Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. END
